Our Tele Pain Program offers Veterans a wide range of virtual care options designed to improve function, build self‑management skills, and provide ongoing support for living with chronic pain.
Through interactive group classes, one‑time educational sessions, and ongoing follow‑up, Veterans can access evidence‑based pain education, mindfulness training, nutrition guidance, movement programs, and peer support all from the comfort of home.
Tele Pain Program
- Meets every Tuesday: 9:00–11:00 a.m. ET
- Meets every Wednesday: 5:30–7:30 p.m. ET
- Meets every Thursday: 9:00–11:00 a.m. ET
(for older adults and women, switching every other week)
This group meets each week for 8 weeks. You will learn about pain, setting goals, how pain works in the body, good sleep, eating well, medicine, relaxing, and mindfulness.
Nurses will check in with you after 3 months, 6 months, and once a year to help you keep using what you learned.
Exercising with Pain
- Meets every Wednesday: 6:00–6:30 p.m. ET
- Meets every Thursday: 11:00–11:30 a.m. ET
This class is for Veterans who find pain makes it hard to exercise. You will do 15 minutes of easy exercises and get 15 minutes of advice about healthy eating.
CALM - Mindfulness Group for Chronic Pain
- Meets every Wednesday from 12:00–1:00 p.m. ET
CALM is a group where people learn ways to help control their pain using relaxation, calming thoughts, and talking about feelings.
Nutrition and Chronic Pain Class
- 1st Tuesday of every month: 10:00–11:00 a.m. ET
This class teaches you how the foods you eat can affect pain, energy, and how you feel. You will learn about foods that may help or hurt pain, and get tips for making healthy choices that last.
Empowered Relief
- 1st Wednesday of every month: 9:00–11:00 a.m. ET

- 3rd Wednesday of every month: 1:00–3:00 p.m. ET
This is a one-time, 2-hour class. Veterans learn easy ways to help lower pain, stress, and sleep problems. You will make a personal plan you can use every day.
MOVE Evening Program
- Meets every Tuesday: 6:00–7:00 p.m. ET
- Meets every Friday: 12:00–1:00 p.m. ET
This program lasts 16 weeks. A team of VA doctors, pharmacists, social workers, and physical therapists will teach you how to live a healthy life, reach your health goals, and manage your weight.
Fall Prevention Group
- 2nd Wednesday of the month: 9:00–10:00 a.m. ET
- 3rd Tuesday of the month: 10:30–11:30 a.m. ET
This is a one-time group. You will learn ways to help stop falls, what makes falls more likely, how to make your home safer, exercises for balance and strength, and where to get more help. This group is good for people who have fallen before or may be at risk for falling.
Multiple Sclerosis Disease Support Group
- 1st Tuesday of month: 10:30–11:30 a.m. ET
Led by a physical therapist who knows about the nervous system. Every session covers a new topic, such as exercise, health education, self management, and eating well.
Parkinson’s Disease Support Group
- 1st Wednesday of the month: 9:00–10:00 a.m. ET
- 3rd Wednesday of the month: 9:00–10:00 a.m. ET
Led by a physical therapist who knows about the nervous system. Each session has a different topic, like exercise, health education, self management and nutrition.
Who we serve
These sessions are available to Veterans receiving health care in any VISN 4 medical center or outpatient clinic. You must have a computer, smartphone, or tablet to complete these sessions. In some locations, you can also have an appointment from your nearest VA outpatient clinic.
