Florent To Lay, director-general of the artist-run centre Skol, was worried when he learned that the Belgo,
said to have the biggest concentration of art galleries and artist-run studios of any building in Canada, was up for sale.
Like so many of the arts tenants there, he was concerned that new owners might want to push the Ste-Catherine St. building in a more commercial direction.
But today, he's feeling upbeat about the Belgo's future, The Gazette's Brendan Kelly reports.
