Former Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard was found guilty on the first day of what was supposed to be a 10-day trial in Montreal.
The 84-year-old fashion mogul was found guilty of the sexual assault and forcible confinement of a teenage model in the late 1990s.
Nygard is also facing charges in the U.S. He's accused of being involved in illegal activity for the purpose of sexually abusing and trafficking women and underage girls.
