Funding Reminders 

(FY) 2027 Expanding Nutrition Services (ENS) Notice of Funding Opportunity

On July 8, 2026, HRSA released the FY 2027 ENS Funding Opportunity to increase access to nutrition services at HRSA-funded health centers. Applications are due in Grants.gov by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Note, there is no HRSA Electronic Handbooks (EHBs) application for this funding opportunity.

Maternal Produce Prescription Program (MP3)

The purpose of the Maternal Produce Prescription Program (MP3) is to support community-based organizations to develop produce prescription programs and related nutrition education for maternal populations at risk of poor health outcomes due to nutrition insecurity and other health-related factors.  Applications are due July 17, 2026. HRSA Announces National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services

HRSA announced the re-establishment of the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services (NACRHHS). Review the federal register notice and see the July 9 press release for more information.


New Request for Information to Support Executive Order (EO) 14401, “Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness”

On July 14, HRSA published a request for information (RFI) seeking feedback on training and care delivery models for the safe use of potential future Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved psychedelic drugs in outpatient settings, including health centers and rural health clinics. Please review the RFI in the Federal Register and share any feedback by Thursday, August 13.


More Investments to Advance the Great American Recovery Initiative

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently announced more than $281 million in funding opportunities for 15 grant programs, including $13.7 million for Promoting Integration of Primary Behavioral Healthcare - States. Updated Health Workforce Explorer from HRSA

HRSA recently updated and expanded its  Health Workforce Explorer, an interactive data dashboard that provides the latest information on more than 40 health workforce occupations in the United States. For the first time, the tool now includes state-level physician specialty data. Explore the updated dashboard.


Reminders

Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Uniform Data System (UDS) Changes Open for Public Comment

HRSA invites your review of the proposed changes to the 2026 UDS instrument. The Federal Register Notice (FRN) is open for public comment until Thursday, July 16, 2026.  The final CY 2026 UDS manual and technical assistance webinars will be released after the 30-day comment period.

BPHC is excited to announce the release of our redesigned and enhanced BPHC Contact Form, delivering a more intuitive and efficient experience for users seeking information and support. Read our recent bulletin about these updates for more information. 


2026 Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Office Hours

HRSA is pleased to announce that FTCA Office Hours are now available for the 2026 Health Center Redeeming cycle. Office Hours provide a 15-minute, one-on-one technical assistance session to support health centers in completing the 2026 FTCA application. FTCA-deemed health centers that received a Compliance Notice, as well as PCAs supporting eligible health centers, may schedule an FTCA Office Hours session through Calendly. To sign up, select an available date and time, have your H80 Grant Number ready, and complete the intake form with your contact information, a brief topic summary, your top three questions, and the names/roles of attendees. See attachment for scheduling instructions. Calendly will send an initial confirmation holding your time slot, but your session is not finalized until West 4th Strategy reviews your intake and sends a separate approval email. Each health center may schedule one session at a time. Please also email your Compliance Notice to bphcftcaprogramsupport@west4thstrategy.com before your time is confirmed.


Application Validation Assistant (AVA) Pre-submission Tool Now Available!

As a reminder, HRSA’s recently released Application Validation Assistant (AVA) is now available for applicants as an optional pre-submission validation tool within the EHBs Grantee Portal. AVA is an AI-enabled tool provided by HRSA and designed to help applicants identify and resolve common application errors before submission through Grants.gov.
