France: New Fast-Fashion Law Adopted to Limit Textile Waste

France has enacted a law discouraging ultra-fast fashion to reduce the environmental impact of textile waste. The Law of July 8, 2026, includes several measures to reduce pollution caused by ultra-fast fashion, which involves the large-scale manufacture and sale of inexpensive clothing and other textile goods.This new law is part of the French legislative framework regulating fast fashion.
