Home- and community-based services (HCBS) are most effective when they reflect the cultural values, traditions, and priorities of the communities served. This webinar will explore strategies for strengthening relationships with tribal nations in Minnesota and building capacity to develop and deliver culturally responsive HCBS. Participants will learn about the Minnesota Department of Human Services (MN DHS) Aging and Disability Services Administration’s (ADSA) Tribal Collective and its work to strengthen tribal engagement across HCBS initiatives.
Objectives:
- Learn more about the role of the MN DHS ADSA’s Tribal Collective team in strengthening tribal relations and engagement
- Explore strategies for developing and sustaining respectful, collaborative partnerships with tribal nations to enhance HCBS planning and service delivery
- Identify promising practices that promote culturally responsive HCBS and support systems change
