Warm Welcome to Amita Singh
We are excited to welcome Ms. Amita Singh as Olde Creek's newest Assistant Principal.
Ms. Singh joins us with 10 years of experience in FCPS and a passion for supporting students, partnering with families, and helping staff thrive. She is known for building strong relationships, leading with empathy, and always putting students at the center of every decision.
Most recently, Ms. Singh served as the Coaching Resource Teacher (CRT) at Marshall Road Elementary, where she supported both special education and the Comprehensive Services Site (CSS). In that role, she worked alongside teachers and families to develop proactive supports for students with diverse needs, co-led special education services, served on the school's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support team, and mentored new teachers. She also earned her Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certification and completed her endorsement in School Administration and Supervision.
Originally from New York, Amita earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston University before moving to Northern Virginia to begin her career with FCPS. She later earned her master's degree in Special Education from The George Washington University, with a focus on students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
When she's not at school, Ms. Singh loves traveling, exploring new cultures, finding great local coffee shops, and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Please join us in giving Ms. Singh a warm Olde Creek welcome. We are excited for our students, staff, and families to get to know her and know she will be a wonderful addition to our leadership team along with Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Korb.
