Message from the Commanders

Dear Mason District Community,

I am honored to introduce myself as FCPD's new Commander of the Mason District Station. Having been raised in Fairfax County, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to serve a community that has played such an important role in my life.

Throughout my career with Fairfax County, I have served in a variety of assignments, including patrol, investigations, and most recently as the Commander of the Crisis Intervention Team. Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief that effective public safety depends on strong partnerships, open communication, and trust between the police department and the community we serve.

Mason District is a vibrant and diverse community, and I look forward to learning from the residents, businesses, faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders who help make it such a special place. I am committed to listening, understanding your priorities, and working with you to address the issues that matter most. In the coming weeks and months, I hope to meet many of you at community meetings, neighborhood events, and other opportunities throughout the district. We will continue to strengthen our community engagement, proactive patrol, crime prevention, and outreach efforts while working collaboratively to address any emerging public safety concerns. Your involvement is essential to our success, and I encourage you to stay connected with the Mason District Station, share your concerns, and report any suspicious activity. I look forward to serving you and working together to keep the Mason District safe.

Dear Mason District Community,

I am honored to serve as the new Assistant Commander of the Mason District Police Station. I have proudly served the Fairfax County community since 2005, working in five of our eight district stations, as well as in the Organized Crime and Narcotics Bureau and the Major Crimes Bureau.

These diverse assignments have prepared me to address the challenges we face with a thoughtful, strategic approach. I am committed to building on the strong partnerships established by those who served before me and to forming new relationships with residents, businesses, and community organizations.

Working together, we can continue to make Mason District a safer, stronger community. I look forward to meeting many of you in the days ahead.

Mason District News

Through July, the Mason District Station held multiple events to collect new and gently used backpacks to help kids in our community start school on the right foot. Together with our community partners, we collected over 500 backpacks.

Volunteers Needed!

The Fairfax County Police Department would never be able to accomplish all that we do without the help of our amazing volunteers.

The duties and responsibilities of VIPS are continually evolving as the needs of the department change.

VIPS help to keep the county safe and operational by assisting with traffic control, devoting their time to support sobriety checkpoints, assisting with administrative duties, helping with photography, along with other community and crime prevention activities.
