What's Happening at the Nest!

Dear Springfield Estates Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

I hope you and your family have enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories. On behalf of the entire staff at Springfield Estates Elementary, I am excited to welcome our new and returning families back to our Eagle community.

It has already been a joy connecting with many of you during our School Tours and Popsicles on the Playground events. We loved seeing familiar faces, welcoming new families, and watching students begin making connections. Thank you for helping us create such a warm and welcoming community.

Our custodians and front office staff have been working incredibly hard throughout the summer to make sure our building and all the important behind-the-scenes logistics are ready for the new school year. If you see them, please take a moment to give them a shout-out and thank them for everything they have done to help us prepare for our students and families.

Families will be able to view their child’s teacher assignment in ParentVUE on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 19. Please make sure you can access your ParentVUE account before that date.

Before the first day of school, we invite all families to join us for our Open House and Nest Fest on Friday, August 21, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Students will have an opportunity to meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, bring in their school supplies, reconnect with friends, and celebrate the beginning of another great year together.

Whether this is your child’s first year at Springfield Estates or they are returning for another year of learning, we hope this event helps everyone begin the school year feeling excited, confident, and connected.

This year, our focus is Every Student, Every Day. This commitment means ensuring that every child experiences high-quality learning, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of belonging. We will continue strengthening consistent practices across our school that support student engagement, ownership, and success. Together, we are committed to making sure every child is known, valued, challenged, and supported each day.

Our SOAR values continue to guide everything we do. At Springfield Estates, we strive to be:

  • Supportive of one another.
  • Optimistic by believing every student can grow.
  • Accepting by valuing the unique strengths and perspectives each person brings.
  • Responsible for doing our very best each day.

Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We look forward to working alongside you and celebrating the learning, growth, and accomplishments ahead.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. We look forward to seeing you at Open House and Nest Fest on Friday, August 21, and welcoming our Eagles back for the first day of school on Monday, August 24.

Together We SOAR!

Warmly,

April Martin, Principal & Kassandra Flading, Assistant Principal
