- Connecticut Town Gets Bookstore: Schmendrick’s Bookshop, which opened at the end of July, is Wilton’s first brick-and-mortar bookseller in more than a decade.
- Montana’s Romance Oasis: Exes and Ohs, a romance bookstore that previously operated as a pop-up, is opening a permanent location in Bozeman, where it will host the city’s first-ever “BookCon.”
- Ohio Pop-up Celebrates Local Stories: The Ohio Reader is popping up across the northeastern part of the state, run by local historian and author Sandy Mitchell Pavick.
- Kentucky’s New Indie Bookseller: Kaleidoscope Books & Sundries opened in Pikeville on August 1.
