Road Closure and Bus Detour, Aug. 17-18
Blenheim Boulevard will be temporarily closed to thru traffic between Lion Run and Old Picket Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 17-18.
CUE Bus stops between Lion Run and Fairfax Circle will be out of service. Riders should plan to use other stops.
The road closure is necessary to allow a crane operator to safely remove large trees near the Army-Navy Country Club entrance. This work is associated with the Blenheim Boulevard Multimodal Improvements Project.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated as necessary.
Detour and Travel Impacts
- Please follow the attached detour plan, which illustrates alternate routes around the work zone.
- Signage in the area will guide motorists safely around the closure.
- Expect minor traffic delays. Allow extra travel time when navigating through or near the project area.
- Please reduce your speed and be aware of workers in the area.
We recognize road closures are inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Weather permitting, the work will be completed quickly and safely.
