Apple is reportedly developing homeOS, a smart home operating system combining elements of tvOS, watchOS and iOS for a rumored 7-inch home hub with Apple apps such as Music, Calendar, Camera, Reminders and Notes. The device could also offer Siri, FaceTime, home security monitoring and HomeKit control.

YouTube has broadened the availability of its AI-powered Ask YouTube chatbot, now offering the feature to all signed-in US users aged 13 and up across mobile, desktop and TV devices. Previously limited to Premium subscribers, the AI chatbot enables users to interact with YouTube through conversational queries, delivering structured, context-aware responses. YouTube also plans to introduce this functionality to a global audience in additional languages.

Honor's Robot Phone is now available with a motorized camera gimbal that can rotate, track subjects with AI and respond to gestures for hands-free photography and video. The device also features dual 200MP rear cameras, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and YOYO Robot Mode, which lets the phone use its moving camera to mimic human-like behavior.

Voltpost has launched its lamppost-mounted electric vehicle chargers in New York, starting in the Village of Larchmont with plans to expand to Yonkers and Rye. The chargers, supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Vehicle-to-Grid program, leverage existing infrastructure to deliver up to 9.6 kilowatts.

Target has developed an in-house digital twin solution called Proxima to optimize the middle mile of its supply chain, improving the flow of goods from warehouses to stores. The tool uses Monte Carlo analysis for accurate simulations, allowing Target to anticipate and address potential issues, such as trailer inefficiencies and food perishability, well in advance, Target VP Jake Krings says.
