50 Years in the Making

The Arlington County Fair runs through this weekend, Aug. 12 - 16. This year, the fair celebrates its golden 50th anniversary alongside nationwide commemorations of America’s 250th birthday.

The fair is one of the largest FREE events on the East Coast and features plenty of fun activities. This year is also the debut of a D.C. Sports Zone, featuring games and prizes from the Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, United, and Spirit teams, on Friday from 2 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Make a Transportation Plan

Since there is no parking at the fairgrounds, guests are encouraged to use alternative transportation, including the free shuttle which runs between the fair and Ballston Mall Parking Garage.

• 25 years after the events of September 11, 2001, join Arlington County Government and the Military Women's Memorial for an evening of remembrance on Sept. 1.
  
  
• Virginia SNAP recipients will receive new chip-enabled EBT cards by mail this fall. Make sure your contact information is up to date before Sept. 9.
