Urgent Action Needed:
Help Secure Permanent Crossing
Guards for CHS!
While temporary crossing guards are back at Chantilly High School, we need your help to make them permanent. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will vote on funding for high school crossing guards during their fiscal carryover package vote on Tuesday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m..
Stringfellow Road is a heavily congested corridor where hundreds of students cross daily—including those using overflow parking at the Chantilly Regional Library. With county proposals to add housing at the library site, traffic will only increase, making dedicated crossing guards essential for student safety.
How You Can Help Today:
-
Attend the Board Meeting: Join us at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Pkwy) on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m.. Please WEAR PURPLE to show strong community support in the auditorium!
-
Send a 2-Minute Email: Email the Board at clerktotheboard@fairfaxcounty.gov and chairman@fairfaxcounty.gov, and CC our Sully District School Board Representative, Seema Dixit, at sdixit@fcps.edu.
-
Key Message:Urge them to permanently restore high school crossing guard funding in the carryover budget to protect our students on Stringfellow Road.
Let’s stand together to keep our Chargers safe!
