9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Honors Victims and Heroes

• Our public safety agencies and county leaders held a remembrance ceremony today at the Public Safety Headquarters to commemorate all those impacted 25 years ago by the 2001 event.
• Speakers included Lt. Governor Ghazala Hashmi, Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey McKay, Fairfax County Fire Chief John Butler, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis and Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Kincaid.
• Today and every day, we honor Master Police Officer Donald Gotthardt Jr. and Fire Battalion Chief Michael Tamillow, two members of Fairfax County public safety who passed away from Sept. 11-related causes.
