Greetings Keene Mill Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend last weekend. Next week, we are looking forward to seeing all our parents at Back to School Night.

Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 17^th from 6:30pm-8pm.

The schedule is as follows:

6:30pm Doors Open
6:30pm-6:40pm Meet your children’s specialists (Art, PE, Music, FLES) in the library
6:40pm -7:10pm Session 1
7:10pm-7:20pm Meet your children’s specialists in the library (if you did not get an opportunity to do so earlier)
7:20pm-8:00pm Session 2

Please note that Session 2 is a repeat of Session 1. Session 2 is for families that may have more than one student.

The Keene Mill PTA invites you to attend our annual International Night where we celebrate our many heritages and sample food from a variety of countries. All attendees are invited to wear a traditional outfit representing their country or heritage. We will also have folk dancing led by Keene Mill’s music teachers.

Families can reserve a table to display artifacts, flags, information about a country or region, and food (optional). Note that food options should be sample-sized or bite-sized. Tables must be reserved by Sept. 21 and doors will open at 6:00 PM the night of the 25th for presenting families to set up their tables.

All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at International Night!

The Keene Mill spirit wear store is currently open for orders shipped to your home or the school. Choose from a variety of t-shirts, hoodies, and pajama pants in multiple colors! Please note that all orders must be placed by 1 pm ET on Friday, September 18.

NEED SOME DINNER IDEAS? JOIN A KEENE MILL SPIRIT NIGHT!

LEDO PIZZA SPIRIT NIGHT ON TUESDAY, SEPT. 15 (4:00-10:00 pm)

Enjoy dinner at our local Ledo Pizza (Old Keene Mill Rd) at their Back to School Bash in support of Keene Mill. Be sure to mention the fundraiser or enter “FUNDRAISER” for online orders. 15% of all proceeds will be donated to the school. Ledo Pizza will also be hosting monthly spirit nights with fun themes throughout the year, so be sure to keep it on your calendar!

PANERA BREAD SPIRIT NIGHT ON TUESDAY, SEPT. 29 (4:00-8:00 pm in person OR online all day)

We’re raising some dough for Keene Mill! Support Bring your Panera flyer from 4:00-8:00 PM to the location on 6230 Rolling Road or use code FUND4U for online checkout. All online orders all day will also count towards total sales. You can support in-person, pick-up or delivery and 25% of sales will benefit the KMES PTA.

September PTA Meeting - Thursday, September 17 (5:45-6:15 pm, cafeteria) - Join us before Back to School night to hear our focus and priorities for the year, ways you can be involved, and to vote on the school year budget. We can’t wait to see you!

Honeygrow Spirit Day - Wednesday, October 21 - Order all day using the code GIVE164. Honeygrow will donate 20% of proceeds in support of Keene Mill!

Costume Bingo - Thursday, October 29 (6:30-8:00 pm) - Our annual tradition is back! Start picking your costumes for a night of pizza, bingo, parades and more. More details coming soon.
