JACK BROCKMAN -Varsity Golf
Jack worked tirelessly to get ready for his senior golf season and has been leading our team all year. His play has been outstanding, but what helps set Jack apart is his humble leadership. There is no spotlight on Jack, but everyone sees what he is doing and works to emulate.

MOLLY MURPHY - Varsity Field Hockey
Molly is an athlete who has shown up ready to play at every scrimmage & game we've had this season. She is a strong, attacking, forward player, who seamlessly takes the ball down the left side-line and either scores or sets her teammates up for a goal. Molly demonstrates positivity and hustle even during tough games and is always willing to stay in the game even if she's tired. Molly has 3 goals on the season thus far and continues to prove her excellence at every game and practice!

Herndon Hs Esports Information 2026–27
Do you love gaming and want to compete for Herndon High School?
Esports is back at Herndon High School for the 2026–2027 school year! With esports now recognized as an official high school sport by the Virginia High School League, students have the opportunity to represent the Hornets while competing in organized video game competitions.
Whether you are an experienced competitive gamer or simply interested in learning more about esports, we want you to be part of the team! Students can participate competitively or simply get involved and enjoy gaming with other Herndon students.
The team will begin meeting early in the school year to prepare for the upcoming season. Competitive players will be expected to participate regularly in practices and competitions, while students who want to participate more casually are also welcome to join when their schedules allow.
Just like any other Herndon High School athletic team, esports players are expected to maintain appropriate academic performance, attendance, sportsmanship, and behavior throughout the season.
No prior esports experience is required! Whether you are already a competitive gamer, play occasionally with friends, or have never competed before, there is a place for you.
Interested or have questions? Reach out to Coach Headen at jeheaden@fcps.edu for more information and to be added to future esports communications.
Come represent Herndon. Compete. Connect. Game on!
Varsity Football Games *Weapons Screening
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is taking additional steps this year to help ensure that our athletic events remain safe for students, families, staff, and community members by introducing security screenings of all spectators at our varsity football games.
We will be using the existing weapons screening systems that our students pass through every morning in our schools. In addition, we will be implementing a standardized bag policy to help support a smooth and efficient entry process. Students, family members, and all spectators are reminded that the following items are prohibited:
- Backpacks
- Purse
- Fanny pack
- Tote bags
- Outside food and beverage
- Sporting equipment (balls, bats, sticks, etc.)
- Any item prohibited by FCPS policy, or determined by event staff to present safety concerns
Approved bags are limited to:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or pvc bags no larger than 12”6”x12”
- Small clutch bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
- Medical and diaper bags permitted but subject to inspection
As a reminder, middle-school students and younger, must be accompanied by a responsible adult who remains with the student(s) at the event.
