Weekly Activities Overview
Good Afternoon Cavaliers. We will continue to progress through our fall schedule. Volleyball and Golf are already well into district play. Football has a bye this week and will start district play Alexandria City next week. Cross Country will also begin their district meet slate this week. Field Hockey will open their district play as well on Tuesday. Below is the schedule for the week:
 Varsity Football Game Procedures
There will be new procedures for Varsity Football Home Games this fall. We will be using the OpenGate weapons detectors at our gates prior to purchasing your tickets for entry. There will be Weapons Detectors at both the Main Gate and at the Frost Gate. Gates for entry for football will open at 6:00 PM.
After Halftime, tickets will be closed and OpenGate will be picked up. Once this happens, there will be no more entry into the game and it will become exit only once that happens.
Below is the county guidance for what is allowed into the game.
I would expect to have the same conditions as you travel to away varsity football games.
 Updating our Website
Our website is still at Woodsonsports.com. We are having difficulties with the section that has the upcoming events being completely accurate as the site missing games and it is beyond our control right now. If you go down on the page to Cavalier News. There is a post with a one-pager with the most current schedules you can print out.
Field Hockey Chipotle Night
Field Hockey will have their Chipotle Night Fundraiser on September 23 between 5 and 9 PM. Field Hockey will receive 25% of the orders will go to field hockey. Please go to the Chipotle at 9506 Main Street Fairfax in order to support our Field Hockey program.
Clubs and Activities
We have over 100 different clubs with a wide range of interests, so hopefully there is something that interests everyone. We have moved over to a new calendar tool and have been working on getting it updated with our club meeting schedule. It is still in the process of having activities added to it, but you can access it here: Club Calendar. Most clubs will meet after school 3:00-4:00 PM. A majority will fall on Wednesday afternoons as that is when Woodson offers late buses.
