Help Clean Accotink Creek in the City of Fairfax on September 26, 2026 and October 3, 2026. 

On Saturday, September 26, and Saturday, October 3, join Friends of Accotink Creek for the International Coastal Cleanup in Fairfax City!

Volunteers will help remove litter from local waterways and surrounding areas, helping protect our streams and keep our community clean.

City residents who participate in this event may earn stormwater utility credits.

September 26, 2026 Cleanup Locations: 

• 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Accotink Creek at Fairfax Blvd

• 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Accotink Creek at University Drive

• 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Accotink Creek at Blenheim Blvd

October 3, 2026 Cleanup Locations 

• 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Accotink Creek at Pickett Road
