Forestville families, we are entering one of the most exciting enrichment seasons we’ve ever offered. From theater arts to robotics, from Spanish to STEM engineering, our PTA is proud to support programs that help every child discover their passions and stretch their creativity.
We’ll be answering questions and sharing details during our upcoming PTA General Membership Meeting (Monday, September 14, 7pm), where NextStop Theatre will join us as a special guest speaker. Immediately following the meeting, we’ll host a PTA‑sponsored club conversation covering Odyssey of the Mind, Science Olympiad, and VEX Robotics.

The Children’s Center for Language and Culture, Inc. (ChiCeLaCu!) in partnership with the Forestville ES PTA is pleased to offer the Spanish Program for its 16th consecutive year. ChiCeLaCu’s goal is to cement a strong language foundation, ultimately enabling students to become proficient Spanish speakers.

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Spring Musical will be produced in partnership with NextStop Theatre. They’ll join us at the PTA General Membership Meeting on September 14 to walk through the program, answer questions, and give families a behind‑the‑scenes look at what’s in store.
This year’s musical is open to all interested 4th–6th grade students. Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00–5:30 PM, beginning January 5, with performances scheduled for early April.
We’re aiming for 43 enthusiastic participants — 40 cast members and 3 sixth‑grade Assistant Stage Managers — to bring this production to life. If your student is interested, please fill out the interest form and vote on the show to help us shape this year’s musical.

PTA sponsored, Fall enrichment afterschool Arts and Crafts with Aristocrafts.
Our crafters will explore their creativity while making a variety of exciting, hands-on projects throughout the session. Each project is thoughtfully selected around seasonal trends, nature exploration, and holiday-themed celebrations, keeping the experience fresh, fun, and engaging week after week- session after session.Students will create unique pieces such as jewelry dish, wall décor, piñatas, and more.Along the way, they’ll learn age-appropriate crafting techniques, build fine motor skills, and gain confidence as they complete each project independently.This after-school program is a wonderful way for children to explore their artistic side.

Dates: September 16, 23, 30; October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18 (no class on November 25); and December 2, 9, and 16.

PTA sponsored, Fall enrichment afterschool chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy
Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.
Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments outside of club time, which may have an additional fee. All chess supplies provided. We welcome all grades and skill levels!
Time: 4pm to 5:10pm
Dates: Starts on 9/11, ends 12/18, no classes on 9/4, 10/30, 11/27

Join Robothink for Engineer Airplanes this fall. In this program, students will be building a bunch of places, helicopters, and jets. As an Ariel entrepreneur, its up to you to make sure your business takes off.

Join us this fall for iCode Tech Club for Animation and Digital Art Creation. Harness your creativity as we explore various forms of digital art with a focus on animation! Students will used drawing tables and a variety of software to create several animated projects in several different styles.
Time: 4pm to 5:10pm
Dates: Thursdays, September 24; October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; November 5, 12, 19; and December 3, 10, and 17.

Afterschool soccer for 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders at no cost.
One parent for each child must volunteer 1 day to sign for the kids from the school at 4pm, then sign over the kids to the vendor. The Registration process allows parents to select their available day.

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem‑solving program where students work in teams to build, design, and perform their own solutions to imaginative challenges. It blends engineering, storytelling, and teamwork, giving kids a chance to think boldly and inventively. Forestville is organizing multiple grade‑level teams. Several of our teams have advanced to County, State, and even World Championships. |
Science Olympiad is a nationally recognized STEM competition where students work in teams to tackle hands‑on science, engineering, and problem‑solving events. From building devices to mastering biology, chemistry, and physics challenges, students develop deep critical‑thinking skills while preparing for regional and state tournaments. Forestville offers Division A (3rd–4th grade) and Division B (5th–6th grade) teams. Our teams have a strong history of success, including County wins and State‑level competition. |

VEX Robotics is a hands‑on STEM program where students work in small teams to build, code, and compete with real robots. Kids learn engineering, problem‑solving, and teamwork as they design robots to complete themed challenges throughout the season. Forestville is organizing multiple grade‑level teams coached by parent volunteers. It’s an exciting, confidence‑building pathway into advanced STEM. |
Come discover the adventure of Cub Scouting! Join Pack 55 for our September Open House. Whether your child is interested in camping, hiking, pinewood derby racing, community service, or making new friends, this is the perfect opportunity to learn what Cub Scouts is all about.
Meet Pack leaders, chat with current Scout families, learn about our exciting year of activities, and find out how to join. Returning Scouts are also encouraged to attend as we kick off another fun-filled year together.
