Friends, Since being back in office, Trump has made nearly 28,700 stock trades, according to Tuesday’s Bloomberg review of his disclosures. (During that same period, all members of the Senate and House together made about 22,200 stock trades.) Trump’s trades are endangering us all. Please watch and share: It’s time to (1) end the exemption of the president and vice president from conflicts-of-interest laws; (2) require all federal officials, including members of Congress, to put their investments into qualified blind trusts; and (3) prohibit all trading by all officials and members of Congress of individual shares of stock. A president is supposed to govern for the benefit of the entire country — not for his own financial benefit. *** PS: I’m pleased to report that no Democratic senator voted for the crypto bill on Tuesday, leaving Republicans far short of the 60-vote threshold required to proceed. (Several Republicans, including Senator Susan Collins of Maine and Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, also cast “no” votes.) |
