Brad and I were married on Sept 14, 2008, at the Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. We have been together for 40 years, but we couldn’t get married legally as “husband & husband” until 2008, thanks to a ruling by the California Supreme Court that found the state ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. |
