The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has published a summary of responses to its consultation on proposed amendments to the POPs Regulation.
Defra have also published the government response to the consultation.
The government response outlines Defra's intended next steps, including its intention to implement proposed amendments to the POPs Regulation through a Statutory Instrument.
Defra intends for the Statutory Instrument to be laid before Parliament in October 2026 and, subject to Parliamentary approval, the amendments to come into force in December 2026.
