Building safety training courses

Our Building Safety Regulator (BSR) training courses give you direct access to HSE specialists who share the latest insight, good practice and regulatory expectations.

All courses are held at HSE's Science and Research centre in Buxton, unless stated otherwise.

BSR: Introduction to the role of accountable persons and principal accountable persons Delegates will learn how to develop robust operational practices, effectively engage with occupants and residents as part of building management processes, and understand the various definitions of building safety risk. BSR: Introduction to the Building Safety Regulator and Building Safety Act On this course delegates will gain an understanding of how the Building Safety Act works and the role of the BSR in operating and regulating the building safety regime. BSR: Introduction to the role of client, principal designer and principal contractor This course explains the roles and duties of clients, principal designers, and principal contractors under the Building Safety Act 2022 and how they interact with building control processes. BSR: Developing accompanying documents for the building control process This course covers how to develop the key documents required under the Building Safety Act 2022, including construction control plans, compliance statements, and mandatory occurrence reporting.
