I hope you have a journalling practice. It will promote clarity of thought, precision of execution, greater emotional well-being and an ongoing stream of gratefulness.
I’ve journaled nearly every morning for over 25 years. I usually have country music playing and strong coffee next to me. Sometimes I’ll draw little figures alongside my notations and at other times I’ll rewrite quotes or prayers or insights I’ve gathered (so they deepen within my soul).
In the spirit of service, I thought I’d share seven journal prompts I use often:
1. How may I most be of use?
2. What am I grateful for?
3. What does my A+ life look like?
4. Where does my growth live?
5. What do I want my tombstone to say?
That last question (oh that last question!) forces me to confront my mortality. It sharpens my focus on the few things that matter. It invites a sense of calm urgency into my days.
A lot of the most important scenes in my new book The Robot and The Gardener: Being Fully Human in an Artificial Age take place in a cemetery. The Gardener is quite a guy. He loves taking the struggling young man who came to him for some guidance through the graveyard and teaching him lessons from the dead by reading inscriptions on gravestones.
I find reading epitaphs or obituaries helpful. It reminds me how short a human life is. And the ritual reorients my behavior.
If you’d like to gain greater clarity on your purpose, work and live more “to the point” and sense that you’re living far more aligned with your best, I invite you to join me and a relatively small group of leaders, entrepreneurs, craftspeople and genuinely wise human beings at the upcoming The Fully Human Sessions.
Each session will be about 45 minutes long and then we’ll do a robust Q + A block where you can ask me any question you want. You’ll get full access to the recordings of The Fully Human Sessions but I’d like you to know they will be delivered by me live. For the energy and for the value and so you and I can have a real conversation.
Here are the details to secure your place and below you’ll find a summary of the sessions.

I have spent much of my life studying a simple question:
What allows a human being to realize more of their potential while living with greater meaning, mastery and freedom?
I believe that question has never mattered more than it does now.
If that speaks to where you are in your life and work right now, I'd be delighted to have you join me.
My very best wishes,
Robin
