EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Sunday. My weekly screen-time report hit a number I won’t be sharing, so I signed up for an eight-week pottery class. While the experience has been…humbling (I’ll be lucky if I end up with something resembling a bowl), I’ve enjoyed the novelty. So here are some more new — or new-to-me — things I’m excited about:

• The WNBA playoffs tip off today, which means my Basketball Person™ era officially begins. In true bandwagon-fan spirit, I’ll spend the next few hours reading up on my hometown heroes and the point guard dubbed the future of the WNBA.

• Just as I was about to order my seventh pair of Adidas, I learned Olivia Wilde and half of Hollywood are into a different sneaker brand — and one understated silhouette is being called “Fall’s Definitive It Girl Shoe.”

• If you, like me, put chili crisp on anything that stands still long enough, clear fridge space: A famous NYC restaurant dropped an Italian spin on the condiment — and my pizza and pasta are about to get an upgrade.

• I’ve spent two decades trying to forget my True Religion phase. But Fashion People are bringing embellished jeans back, and dare I say, they’re actually chic now. (The Abercrombie & Fitch ones are in my cart.)

• This was the summer I discovered the power of “the laziest pattern in your closet” (complimentary), so I’m thrilled it’s about to be even bigger this fall — something I saw firsthand during my recent trip to Madewell.
