Good morning, Chicago.

The baseball regular season is over. And now it's onto the postseason for the Cubs and White Sox.

The Cubs will face the Padres in their wild-card round, with all the games played in San Diego beginning Tuesday. The Cubs went 5-1 against the Padres this season, outscoring them 55-28 — including a 23-3 win on July 1. The only time the Cubs have played a postseason series in San Diego was the 1984 National League Championship Series, in which the Padres won all three home games to come back and win the series 3-2.

The White Sox are headed to Houston to face the Astros in their wild-card series, which begins Tuesday as well. The Sox had a 2-5 record against the Astros during the regular season. They did a nice job containing AL MVP candidate Yordan Alvarez, who went 4-for-20 (.200) with one RBI, eight walks and six strikeouts in the seven games.
