Jaguar Pantry News
Regional Partnerships help our pantry give back to our FCHS Community!
Our partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) and other partners in the region are vital in our efforts to assist our students and families dealing with food insecurity. We were fortunate to attend the Virginia Region Partner Meeting hosted by CAFB on September 30th and walked away with a wealth of information. Ever wonder what the demographics for food insecurity looks like amongst our community? We learned about this and so much more during the partner meeting, and hope to help you understand just how important your support of our Jaguar Pantry is and how grateful we are for your generous donations and volunteerism! This appendix was one of many slides shared with us during CAFB’s annual hunger report.

FCHS College & Career Corner
The first annual FCHS College Fair will be on Monday, October 5 8:45-10:00am in the Main Gym for junior and senior students. Falls Church will welcome 65 colleges/universities for students to learn about and speak with representatives in our gym.
Upcoming individual college rep visits:
- 10/2- William & Mary 10:15am
- 10/13- Northwestern 1:30pm
- 10/15- JMU 8:30am
- 10/21- University of the District of Columbia 9:00am
*Students must register no later than two days (48 hours) prior to the college fair and/or individual college rep visits.
FCPS College Fair and Postsecondary Virtual Night
The annual county-wide FCPS College Fair will be held Sunday, October 18, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the George Mason University Eagle Bank Arena. Approximately 200 colleges and universities will be represented, including two- and four-year schools and U.S. Service Academies.
The virtual postsecondary night event will be held on Monday, October 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. Both events will help students prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey. Learn more about the College Fair and Postsecondary virtual night.
