Food for Neighbors

The Red Bag Program makes it easy for community members to donate food and support local students outside of the school day. Volunteers collect these donations and deliver them to middle and high schools for distribution.

For many students, school meals are the only guaranteed nutrition they receive. Edison High School partners with the Red Bag Program to help stock its food pantry. The PTSA helps provide items collected in the Red Bags to Edison families in need.

You can support this effort by filling a red bag to help families at the school. Sign up for a Red Bag through the Food For Neighbors website: https://foodforneighbors.org/red-bag-program/. The next collection date is scheduled for October 24th.

Reflections Art Contest for 2026-2027

What my culture means to me

National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. For over 50 years, Reflections has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boosts student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Edison High School and the PTSA will be participating in Reflections again for the 2026-2027 school year. This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me”. When our students share what their culture means to them, they help all of us—classmates, teachers, and families—better understand the unique stories and backgrounds that make our school whole. We invite students to join us in exploring this wonderful theme.
