PTA and Family Room Storage Donations Needed
Our PTA closet is gone — but we gained a whole room!
We're sharing the new space with the Family Room and Mrs. Gadley has given us the go-ahead to furnish it.
If you have gently used shelving, bookcases, or bins with lids you no longer need, we'd love a donation. Once we're organized, we'll cozy the space up to match!

Homecoming Parade Float
DES needs your help to make our float a success!
How can you help?
1) We need students and parents to help decorate the float Friday, October 23rd. We'll be in the school parking lot at 6:30PM
2) Walk in the parade on Saturday, October 11th around 9AM. (The town provides us with an arrival time, and will update when we receive it)
This year's float theme is: Hollywood Through the Years! Participants are welcomed (and encouraged) to wear a T-shirt from any movie of their choice.
6th graders who participate in the parade will be allowed to ride on the float.

All FCPS volunteers must register and complete an application through the Volunteer FCPS web-based platform.  Donut Be Spooked – Our Staff is Sweet!
6th Grade Sponsored Staff Breakfast
The PTA is thrilled to partner with our 6th Grade families to kick off the grade sponsored breakfasts for our amazing Dranesville teachers and staff!
The Staff Breakfast will be on Friday, October 30th and there are many ways you can get involved:
- Bring a dish (homemade or store-bought)*
- Donate funds
*If you are dropping off food, then please bring it to the cafeteria by 8:00-8:15 am or coordinate drop off with Krissi Chevalier by texting 703-919-0573.
