Special Olympics Is Coming Back to Deer Park!
We are excited to bring Special Olympics back to Deer Park! On October 9th, our students and staff will take the Inclusion Revolution Pledge during our Fun Run, making a commitment to creating a school community where every student has the opportunity to belong, participate, and lead.
We invite our Deer Park families to join us in this mission and help us build on the success of our 2024 Special Olympics event. Together, we can make inclusion a part of who we are at Deer Park!
This is just the beginning!
Traffic Safety at Our School
Student and staff safety is our top priority at Deer Park. If you are picking your student up at dismissal by car, you must use the Kiss and Ride line. There is no parking in the bus loop or near Door 2.
Please avoid parking in neighborhoods or double parking in front of our school and walking across the parking lot. This can increase the number of students walking through busy intersections and create traffic hazards for other drivers.
Please follow all signs and directions posted at our school, on public roads, or provided by school staff or crossing guards, and avoid making U-turns. Most of all, — ALWAYS — drive slowly near our school.
If you need a Kiss and Ride number, please contact the school office.
The Fairfax County Police Department has additional safety tips for families, including ways to keep walkers safe and what to do about scooters, bicycles, and e-scooters.
Thank you for your cooperation.
