Fundraising Update
Building on Excellence
We already know how fortunate we are to be at Great Falls Elementary—one of the top-performing elementary schools in a pyramid that leads to Langley High School, one of the country’s top comprehensive public high schools. Our kids receive the kind of exceptional education families often seek from private schools, while benefiting from what makes public education so special: a diverse, connected community where every child belongs.
But why stop at excellent? With our community’s investment, imagine GFES with enhanced science and STEAM spaces, makerspaces and innovation labs, cutting-edge technology, expanded arts and music, outdoor learning spaces, and extraordinary enrichment opportunities. Public funding provides an incredible foundation; Roadrunner Giving is our opportunity to build on that excellence and take GFES to the next level.

Book Fair Week - Coming Soon!
Our Scholastic book fair will run from October 19-23 in our school library. Here's the scoop on helping us make it the Best. Week. Ever!
-
E-Wallet: Visit our homepage to set-up your child's eWallet and preview books (and prices!) together. We highly encourage parents to set up eWallet accounts before book fair week so students don't miss out on shopping with their classes.
-
Shopping: Students will shop during their regularly scheduled Library class time (with a few exceptions), and parents are invited to shop with their child during their designated buying time. However, siblings may not be pulled from other classes and parents may not visit classrooms or other parts of the school during their visit. Make-up shopping is available on Friday morning for students who miss their class shopping time.
-
Volunteering: Any parents interested in helping classes shop can sign up here. All book fair volunteers must be registered in Volunteer FCPS and should be sure to select the GFES Classroom Volunteer opportunity in the volunteer portal.
-
Family Shopping: Bring the whole family and join us for a fun-filled Family Shopping evening on Thursday, October 22 from 4-7 pm. Look for more details in your Tuesday packets.

Lending Library!
Last year we created a new lending library!! Don't forget to visit it in the school vestibule and check out a book!
We are still seeking donations of culturally rich and diverse books that celebrate different backgrounds, voices, and experiences. Whether it's a beloved folktale, a story in another language, or a book that reflects your family's heritage—your contribution can help every person see themselves in the pages. Drop off your books on the shelf in the school vestibule and help us grow a library as vibrant and inclusive as our community! You can also visit our Lending Library Wishlist to purchase a book for the library! Thank you so much!
