Atria Takes Delacorte’s U.S. Debut
Emilia Rhodes at Atria won, at auction, in a two-book deal, North American rights to Bloodsport by Kat Delacorte from Catherine Cho at Paper Literary. The author’s U.S. debut is an M/M romance set in “a dystopian world of F1 racing,” where two rival drivers with both history and chemistry are reunited “for the biggest race of their lives,” per the publisher. Rights also sold in Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine. Release is set for spring 2028.
Penguin Press Picks Up Sebastian Mallaby Book on Anthropic CEO
Scott Moyers took North American rights to the as-yet-untitled book, which builds on “meaningful first-person access” to Dario Amodei to explore the challenges of AI, from Chris Parris-Lamb of the Gernert Company. A pub date has not been announced.

The Latest in Children’s and YA Deals
New projects this week include P.S. Don't Fall in Love by Love & Gelato author Jenna Evans Welch, about 16-year-old L.A. native Birdie Taylor-Hughes, who trades lives with a New Yorker for the summer, and is prepared for anything except the possibility of falling in love, in a story inspired by The Holiday; Ravish, a gothic romantic fantasy by Elizabeth C. Bunce, in which rebellious Alice Merchant is banished to a remote village and is drawn to a brooding lord, only to discover his castle's history of disappearing brides; and Always a Corpse Bride by Kendare Blake, a YA gothic fantasy inspired by Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, filled with the macabre, intrigue, and a dash of revenge.
