Netherlands moves forward with plans to limit English at universities
The Dutch government plans to limit English-taught university programs to curb international student numbers. Education Minister Eppo Bruins aims to prioritize the Dutch language, addressing issues like student housing shortages and full lecture halls. The proposal targets reducing English-taught bachelor's programs to one-third. Current statistics show 15% of university students in the country are foreign.
