During the time Christie Henry (she/her/hers) has been with Princeton University Press, the Press has launched many cross-team initiatives, including an audio imprint, PrincetonAudio, a speakers agency, PUPSpeaks, a Creative Media Lab, a new website featuring Ideas, a sustainability working group, and an equity, inclusion, and belonging program that includes accessibility. The Press has also expanded its China initiative with representation to other publishers in China, among the activities that lead to her receipt of the Special Book Award of China in 2023.
Committed to collaboration and the publishing community, Christie currently serves as an elected Board member of the Association of American Publishers and has held numerous volunteer roles for the Association of University Presses including chairing its Task Force on Gender Equity and its Admissions and Standards Committee. She is on the boards of several publishing and book-based organizations, public libraries and independent booksellers, and is grateful to learn and teach at the Denver Publishing Institute, the LA Review of Books publishing workshop, Brown Digital Publishing Program and the Seagull Publishing School in Kolkata. |
