It's sunny again today with a high around 21 degrees. Friday should be mostly sunny, but the forecast calls for clouds over the weekend and the return of snow by early next week. Daytime temperatures will gradually climb up into the high 20s over the next few days.

Begich defeats Peltola, flipping Alaska’s lone U.S. House seat →

Incumbent Rep. Mary Peltola had been the first Alaska Native woman elected to Congress, and the first Democrat to hold the seat since Begich’s grandfather, Nick Begich, won the seat in 1972.
