Hive Happenings Newsletter

Dear Stenwood Families,

What a lovely way to go off into Winter Break and the new year! Many Stingers were donning their comfiest and coziest PJs for our SCA Spirit Day as we looked out the windows to snow flurries throughout the day!

This week we had Family Invites in 4th grade and Kindergarten. 4th grade showed off and celebrated their writing virtually with families. And Kindergarten did fun Winter Centers. We also had a PTA sponsored assembly on Thursday with some turtles visiting who were being cared for by Blue Ridge Wildlife. Finally, we ended Friday afternoon with Hive Families playing games together.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful and restful winter break!  We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 6th, 2025!

Chanukah

Chanukah, an 8-day Festival of Lights, is a Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple and the miracle of a small quantity of oil that lit the Temple’s menorah for 8 days. This year, Chanukah begins at sundown on Wednesday, December 25th
