Message from Principal Burke

Dear Edison Families,

As we close out 2024 and head into a well-deserved winter break, I want to take a moment to reflect on the spirit and generosity we’ve seen throughout our school this holiday season.

We wrapped up our holiday celebrations with a stunning concert featuring our Chorus and Chamber Orchestra. Their performance was a beautiful reminder of our students' talent and dedication to the arts. A special thank you to Mr. Lackie and our amazing chorus students who spread cheer this afternoon by caroling around the school—what a festive way to head into the break!

I’d also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our community members who donated gift cards and other items for our faculty holiday raffle. The outpouring of generosity was truly overwhelming, and our faculty felt deeply appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and support!

Today, we hosted our annual Electives Fair for our 9th through 11th graders, giving them the opportunity to explore the many elective options available for next school year. It was wonderful to see students engaging with teachers and peers as they planned for their academic journeys ahead.

Meanwhile, our seniors had a special class meeting, where they learned about the exciting events and activities planned for the second half of their final year at Edison. There’s so much to look forward to, and we’re thrilled to celebrate these moments with them.

As we head into winter break, I want to wish each of you a happy holiday season and a joyous new year. This is the perfect time to connect with family and friends, recharge, and reflect on the year behind us and the opportunities ahead.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 6, 2025, refreshed and ready to continue making this school year a great one.

Wishing you a season filled with happiness, health, and peace.

Amanda Burke

Curriculum Fair and Orientation to Course Selection

Edison will be hosting an Orientation to Course Selection for Rising 9th Grade Families, and a Curriculum Fair for all students who will attend Edison next year on Wednesday, January 8 at 6:30 p.m.  The Curriculum Fair will be located around the first floor with representation from each department ready to talk about their offerings and to answer any questions you may have.  For rising 9th grade families, the evening will begin with a presentation in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. and then you will also have an opportunity to visit the Curriculum Fair. We look forward to seeing you on January 8!
