Dear Spring Hill families,
Our week started with an inspirational student speaker, Omar Zaki, a former FCPS student of our very own Mr. Worthington! Students were inspired to never give up, believe in oneself, and follow their passions.
A wonderful musical celebration followed throughout the week with our 4th-6th grade orchestra students performing holiday music and some of our chorus students were given the opportunity to perform at our Region 1 Principal meeting. It was an honor to be chosen and I couldn't be more proud of all our musicians.
We finished our week with a visit from the Saltville Elementary School Principal, Mitzie Frye. We presented Mrs. Frye with over 200 sweatshirts that we collected over the month. This was an incredible opportunity for our students to give to others in need and come together as a community to make a difference.

Windows into our world
We are so excited for our school-wide holiday Windows display! This is an exciting celebration of all the diversity Spring Hill represents and varied holidays that our Spring Hill families celebrate throughout the year! This school-wide celebration of celebrations began with a read-aloud of Windows by Julia Denos, which highlights the incredible and beautiful diversity of a community as observed by a little boy taking an evening stroll through his neighborhood. Each student created their own window into their family’s rich culture, highlighting a holiday celebrated in their home, and each class’s windows was collected into a single building. The SHES hallways are filled with buildings that feature each and every one of us and the holidays that are near and dear to our hearts. What a special way to head into Winter Break!
