The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved an amendment to the Arkansas Healthy Opportunity for Me (ARHOME) section 1115 demonstration. This amendment will allow to the state to provide non-medical transportation (NMT) services to and from Health-Related Social Need (HRSN) services which they are authorized to receive under the demonstration. Both the NMT services and the HRSN services for which NMT services are authorized must be described in the beneficiary’s care plan.
The demonstration is effective through December 31, 2026. Today’s approval and other administrative documents can be found on the Medicaid.gov demonstration page.
