Apply for voluntary credit now through Feb. 28 for eligible activities completed in 2024. Note that the County Board approved additional enhancements to the credit program at the December Board meeting, expanding two single-family residential credits. The pervious driveway credit now includes patios and other surfaces and the rainwater collection credit now includes rainwater redirection (underground).

A rain garden is a bowl-shaped planted landscape feature that captures and absorbs stormwater runoff. At this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to design, build, plant and maintain a rain garden on your property. Register for the Rain Garden Workshop (virtual and in-person options available).

Or maybe you’re new to the topic and simply looking for fresh ideas to beautify your landscaping while earning Stormwater Utility voluntary credit. Whatever your experience or goals, the Plant Nova Natives website offers user-friendly resources to help you choose native species suited for your property and available at local nurseries. On their website, you can find a guide to local native species, a list of local businesses that supply natives, and links to organizations that will come to your property and offer customized landscaping recommendations.

Do you offer partial credits? We do not offer partial credits. You must fully meet all requirements and minimum thresholds to receive a credit.
How do I apply for more than one Stormwater Utility credit? Each voluntary credit action requires its own Stormwater Voluntary Credit Application. Multiple credits cannot be applied for on the same application. Get started with your application here.

Opportunities for Multi-Family & Non-Residential Property Owners
Actions completed in 2024 are eligible for credit applied to 2025 Stormwater Utility bills. Looking ahead, credit actions taken this year (2025) can earn you credit towards your 2026 bill. Check out our event calendar to explore opportunities for future stormwater credit.
