Glastonbury festival enthusiasts are eager to discover who's set to grace this year's line-up, with recent whispers suggesting this British musician might make the list. In a whirlwind of speculation and unconfirmed gossip, Sam Fender has emerged as a potential act believed to be gracing the event.

Recently, Sam had to scrap a series of shows through to end of the current year due to a torn vocal cord that required him to enforce a strict voice rest. Announcing the upsetting decision on social platforms, Sam expressed being "absolutely heartbroken" about the cancellations.

He is scheduled to resume live gigs in February across the pond, followed by a tour through Europe come springtime – conveniently ahead of Glastonbury Festival.

2024 was a big year for Glastonbury, not that the world-famous festival ever has 'small years'. Cyndi Lauper, Shania Twain, Dua Lipa, SZA and Coldplay all took to the coveted Pyramid Stage, while Avril Lavigne and The Sugababes caused unexpected chaos as fans swarmed to their burgeoning venues.

Next year has a lot to live up to. Although headlining acts are yet to be confirmed, Eminem, Madonna, and Olivia Rodrigo's names have all been whispered about. Meanwhile, organiser Emily Eavis says her dream act is actually Kate Bush.

As for us? Well, here are some humble suggestions from someone who was present this year.

Neil Young has reversed his decision to not perform at the Glastonbury Festival, attributing his initial refusal to "an error in the information I received" about the event being "under corporate control" of the BBC.

The 79-year-old singer and his live band, The Chrome Hearts, were previously rumored to be performing at the 2025 festival held on Worthy Farm in Somerset.

However, on New Year's Day, he announced on his website that he would not return to the Glastonbury stage due to perceived corporate influence. In a statement on Neil Young Archives, he wrote: "We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot for things we were not interested in.”
