Every Sunday morning, I enjoyed attending religious services at a small chapel located in a nearby hospital. It was quaint, quiet and beautiful. Magnificent stained-glass windows and stately life-sized statues encircled the sanctuary. I knew the people who attended on a first-name basis, including the chaplains on staff. It provided me with comfort and a sense of wellbeing.
Our firstborn, Danielle, accompanied us to mass, attended weddings, and delighted in looking at all of the artistry throughout the chapel. After her little brother, Zachary, was born, he accompanied us on many of our religious outings as well.
