A Chilly Week!

Dear Fairhill Families,

We hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend and had an opportunity to reflect on the profound impact of Martin Luther King, Jr. on our country. MLK famously said, “Intelligence plus character—that is the true goal of education.” We are inspired by that quote at Fairhill and strive to empower our learners to be strong academics while also building on the character traits that you are cultivating in your children at home.

As we look ahead to the rest of winter, we want to remind you that, unless dangerous conditions are determined by the National Weather Service, the default for recess is that students will go outside, even if for a shortened time. Today and this week is particularly cold, so we may have indoor recess; however, we recommend sending cold weather clothing each day to ensure your student is protected. If you need access to winter jackets, coats, or gloves, we have received generous donations from our community, so please reach out to your teacher or us, and we will be happy to help.
