Walter Reed Outdoor Pickleball Court Project Update

The Walter Reed Outdoor Pickleball Court project is advancing, with construction planned to begin in the 1st Quarter of 2025.

Upcoming Board Action

On January 25, 2025, the County Board will consider approval of the award of Contract No. N1017 to Bright Masonry, Inc. dba Bright Construction Group. The public can participate by sharing live verbal testimony or written comments in advance of the County Board meeting. Learn more here.

Recent Milestones and Anticipated Next Steps:    

  • Winter, 2024: The construction permit was approved and the project was put out to bid.   
  • January 25, 2025: Award of the construction contract will go to the County Board for consideration. 
  • Winter/Spring, 2025: Construction is anticipated to begin.
  • Winter/Spring, 2026: Construction is anticipated to be complete.
