So the new year has been off to a tough start around here. If you didn't know, HPLHS Headquarters is in Glendale, California. We're about 12 miles from the Eaton Fire, the one that ravaged the Altadena region of Los Angeles. This is a photo of the smoke taken from the front door of the HPLHS ten days ago.

First and foremost, we're happy to say the HPLHS is ok. Two of us were under evacuation orders but were eventually able to go home and were very happy to have homes to go to. But we have friends and fellow society members who were not so fortunate. Like pretty much everyone in Los Angeles, we're left with a pervasive sense of fear and gratitude.

What Can You Do? 

At the moment, we're okay and no one on our team needs immediate assistance. If you you want to help us out, keep our team busy and the wheels of commerce turning by shopping in our fine boutique. We're still working out how to best help our HPLHS friends in need, We'll let you know when our plan is in place. And if you want to help today, you can't go wrong with the American Red Cross or World Central Kitchen - both are on the ground helping folks in need.

For now, take good care of each other. Be kind - that'll help. 

2025 Projects

We're happy to say, we have a raft of new projects on our docket for 2025.

• You like Dark Adventure Radio Theatre? We've got a few episodes in the works coming for you.
• You like Props? We've got a vintage documents and unspeakable things that you'll love.
• You play Call of Cthulhu®? We've got some SAN-blasting adventures and prop sets coming down the pike.
• You like otherworldly monstrosities that we cannot and must not describe? Oh yeah, we've got something coming for you too.

Stay tuned, we hope to be announcing our first release of the new year in February. 

What a Web We Weave

We were recently reminded that (a) some folks don't realize we have a real brick and mortar store in Los Angeles (see photo above) and (b) that some folks don't know we operate a big website with lots of content. If you haven't poked around HPLHS.org in a while, you might want to. Learn the strange stories behind our movie productions and Cthulhu Lives games. Get tips on making your own props.
