Founded in 1996, The U.S. Army Band Woodwind Quintet is one of the Army’s premier chamber ensembles. An element of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” the quintet is frequently called upon in support of high-level military and civilian events at the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, and other locations around Washington, DC.

FREE Event! Join us for the opening of an exciting new Art Exhibition "Inaugural" at the Stacy C. Sherwood Center!
Debra Wright has been selected to serve as Curator of the rotary art gallery at The Stacy C. Sherwood Center. Wright is a found object, installation and avant-garde artist with strong ties to the area. A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, her work has been exhibited internationally in traditional venues but has also appeared in commissioned public art installations throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
On view until April 24, 2025, Inaugural showcases works of art created by some of the region’s premier professional artists in an engagement experience on par with that of finer galleries.
