It was supposed to be the best day ever. My husband Doug and I were on vacation with our travel trailer. The Wisconsin summer countryside was breathtaking. But now I was sitting in the cab of a tow truck with a Doberman Pinscher glaring at me and growling.
Our truck had an oil-pressure problem, but we were confident that we could make it home to California in a week to have it fixed. We were wrong. As we left the scenic Wisconsin Dells, our truck shut down and we pulled over to the shoulder, unable to restart the engine.
