Hello awha hawhwa,
the financing round for IRUBIS has just started. The company is developing technology for real-time inline monitoring directly within the pharmaceutical manufacturing production process. This is crucial, as the production of medications must be continuously monitored to prevent contaminated drugs from entering circulation.

The biotech startup comes from the portfolios of UnternehmerTUM, Ventura Biomed, Verve Ventures, BioProcess 360 from the USA, as well as the High-Tech Gründerfonds. In the current financing round, RoBet KG and Verve Ventures, a European deep-tech VC, are co-investing a total of EUR 340,000.

In 2025, IRUBIS already achieved a revenue of EUR 500k. For 2026, the company plans an increase to EUR 2 million in revenue. From mid-2026, scaling in the USA will be a key focus: the first devices have already been sold to Boston, and further market expansion in the USA is planned. Over the next two to three years, IRUBIS aims to grow its revenue to EUR 5 to 10 million.

INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Industry: BioTech
Spin-off of the Technical University of Munich in PAT (Process Analytical Technology) for downstream processes and protein-based biopharmaceutical production.
Investors such as HTGF, Verve Ventures, FIC, BioProcess360 (USA) etc. on board.
Patented single-use flow cell prevents batch losses in the millions and reduces contamination risks.
Multiparameter platform: MONIPA measures downstream parameters including protein and accelerates time-to-market.
Exit-experienced team: CEO Matthias Eggers scaled m2p-labs with an exit to Beckman Coulter Life.
What does IRUBIS do?

IRUBIS is developing technology for real-time inline monitoring directly within the production process of medication manufacturing. Continuous monitoring is essential to prevent contaminated pharmaceuticals from reaching the public. Historically, this quality control has been expensive, time-consuming, and has slowed down the production process: samples must be extracted and analyzed, with results sometimes taking up to two weeks to arrive. Often, the production batch is already complete, making it impossible to respond to unwanted variations.

The IRUBIS solution provides continuous, real-time quality control directly within the ongoing manufacturing process. This allows for the immediate identification of problems and contamination before entire batches have to be discarded and processes restarted—a scenario that can cause losses in the millions within pharmaceutical production.
