A team of scientists have outlined how a vortex fluidic device can make fish oil easier to encapsulate for use as a supplement, and also improve the quality of the polyunsaturated fatty acids in fish oil supplements. The research from Australia's Flinders University was published in Science of Food.

Fatty acid supplements increase cows' milk yield

Research indicates that fatty acid supplementation not only increases milk yield for dairy cows, but the effect lingers for up to 67 days. Adam Lock, Ph.D., from the Michigan State University department of animal science said there is an optimal schedule for supplementation with palmitic and oleic acids.
